This shop is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend for cute gifts and special occasions. Totally welcoming feeling to browse and shop. They have beautiful gifts for every budget !! They also have professional tailoring services, great new spot for Smithtown.

My wife found The Fitting Room on Main through a mom’s group and they came highly recommended. My daughter needed multiple dance costumes tailored for her dance season and I have to say I am very impressed. First of all, Melanie & Julita were super nice and helpful. As a Dad bringing my daughter to test fit her costumes I’m not 100% sure how they should look. They noticed some more work had to be done still and were able to finish the alterations quickly. In fact , one of the more intricate pieces needed a little more time to get it right and Melanie personally delivered the item to us when it was completed. The finished products was perfect and my wife and I were impressed with the personal touch we experienced. The shoppe itself was nicely decorated and very clean. They do have a boutique inside which is nicely laid out as well. If you have anything delicate that needs to altered I highly recommend them. 5 stars !!

The Fitting Room is a beautiful, cozy shop with the kindest owners and workers! They treated me like family and they made me feel like a princess when I came here for my bridal shower dress alterations! Such a lovely boutique where the ladies care so much about their products and service! They went above and beyond for me! Love this place! Great for alterations, communion/ flower girl dresses and gifts for loved ones and yourself! Such a stylish shop! It’s my favorite boutique!

I stopped in the store today; I cannot express how warm and welcoming the owner was. She recommended a beautiful top, which I tried on and purchased. The store had very cute and unique items, both in clothing and gifts. There was a really warm and pleasant boutique feel to the place. The prices were decent. Well worth the visit. As a side note, they also do alterations, which is awesome.

I love going here! They have different things every few weeks- lots of options and the owner and people that work there is what really brings me back! So accommodating and make me feel so comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at The Fitting Room on Main in Smithtown, I felt like I had to sit down and share this. My name is Anthony, and I’ll be honest — walking into a women’s boutique isn’t normally in my comfort zone. But from the moment I walked through the door, the ladies there made me feel completely welcome. First off, the Owners Melanie and Julita were very, very personable. Not pushy, not salesy — just genuinely friendly and helpful. They took the time to help me pick something out and answered all my clueless guy questions without making me feel silly. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and care about their customers. The pricing was fair, which I appreciated. I didn’t feel like I was being upsold or talked into anything expensive just for the sake of it. They helped me find something beautiful within my budget, and honestly, it looked like something that cost way more than what I paid. What really blew me away, though, was the place itself. The decor of the fitting room area made me feel like I had walked into someone’s home — warm, inviting, cozy, and just beautiful. It didn’t feel like a typical store at all. It was actually breathtaking. Everything felt thoughtfully put together, and the whole atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. You almost forget you’re shopping. And on top of all that, the ladies working there were just so sweet. You don’t always get that level of kindness and patience these days, and it really stood out to me. So here’s my message to the guys out there: Hey fellas, if you need a last-minute Valentine’s Day gift for your wife or your girlfriend, head to The Fitting Room on Main. Trust me, they’ll hook you up and make you look like a hero. You’ll walk out with something great, and she’ll think you spent weeks planning it. I’ll definitely be going back whenever I need a gift. Great experience all around. Highly recommend.

I honestly had no idea what to expect when walking in but I was so impressed! The 2 women were SO sweet and welcoming, the boutique in the front was so cute, and everything was so clean and organized. My friend had a strap put on a dance costume and it was done in less than 30 minutes. The communication leading up the appointment was amazing as well. I would definitely come back for any alterations I need done in the future. 100% recommend!

I recently visited this beautiful boutique with my daughter. I was simply looking for accessories for her, ended up shopping for myself as well! From beautiful selection of clothing, accessories, to high end quality jewelry. From second you walk into the boutique you feel welcomed by beautiful stylish decor and these two amazing ladies. They are absolutely helpful, not pushy, gives you good recommendations. Also the beautiful collection of their communion dresses and bridal accessories is just WOW.
